Customs Regulations (800 USD Rule)
Orders above 800 USD require formal customs clearance. DHL/UPS may request your Federal Tax ID or Social Security Number to complete delivery.
Orders over 800 USD may incur import duties and state taxes, collected by DHL upon delivery. These charges depend on U.S. Customs and vary by state.
CHINA — CUSTOMS & SHIPPING (Luxury Legal Version)
All Jan Moore Maison pieces are handcrafted made-to-order, and production begins after the order is placed (1-3 business days).
China Import Rules
• China applies import VAT of 13% on apparel.
• Customs may additionally apply a small duty depending on HS code (typically 0–14%).
• DHL Express may require the customer’s ID number (身份证号码) to clear customs — this is standard for China.
• Duties and taxes are not included in the product price and will be collected upon delivery.
Delivery Time
DHL Express to China usually arrives in 7-10 business days, not counting any customs-related delays.
SOUTH KOREA — CUSTOMS & SHIPPING
All Jan Moore Maison garments are handmade after the order is placed, with a production period of 1-3 business days.
South Korea Import Rules
• South Korea has a duty-free threshold of 150 USD for most apparel.
• Above this amount:
• VAT (10%) applies,
• • a small customs duty depending on garment type.
• Customers may need to provide their PCCC (Personal Customs Clearance Code) — this is mandatory for DHL Korea.
Delivery Time
DHL Express typically delivers to South Korea within 7-10 business days, depending on customs processing.
OTHER NON-EU COUNTRIES (Worldwide)
For all non-EU destinations not specifically listed above:
• duties and taxes are not included in the product price;
• they are collected by your national customs authorities upon delivery;
• delivery dates may vary due to your country’s import regulations.
All garments are handmade-to-order, which may influence the total delivery timeline.
REFUSED DELIVERY
If an order is refused at delivery:
• shipping costs are non-refundable;
• any duties or taxes charged by customs are non-refundable.
Please review your order carefully prior to shipment.
Returns
We hope you will love your piece, but we understand that luxury is also about comfort and confidence.
For our U.S. clients, we offer a 14-day return period from the date your order is delivered.
To be eligible for a return:
• the garment must be unworn, unused, and in pristine condition,
• all original labels and protective elements must remain attached,
• the item must be returned in its original packaging,
• the return must be initiated within the 14-day window.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a production fault or an error on our side.
Once your item reaches our atelier and passes quality inspection, a refund will be issued to your original payment method.
Please note: As reflected in our global policy, the original shipping cost is non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount — even for orders shipped under complimentary DHL delivery.
If an item is returned worn, damaged, or outside of the allowed time frame, Jan Moore Maison reserves the right to refuse the refund or adjust the refundable amount accordingly.
How to initiate a return
To begin a return, please contact our Client Care team at janmooreboutique@gmail.com with:
- your order number,
- the item you wish to return,
- a brief reason for the return.
We will provide the return address and all necessary instructions.
For your peace of mind, we recommend choosing a tracked courier service, as the parcel remains the sender’s responsibility until received by our atelier.
